Rock-a-Bye Changeling
A support group of women believes their new neighbor's child was "exchanged" with a changeling by evil fairies.
During my time in the Armagh Project, a month-long residency in Northern Ireland, I was challenged to write a play inspired by the history and culture of Northern Ireland.
My focus: Changelings
Rock-a-bye Changeling takes place during the Iron Age of Northern Ireland. This dark comedy explores the disturbing reality of the changeling phenomenon – the belief that evil fairies steal human children and replace them with vile fairy children (changelings).
